Bunded Oil Tank Replacement & Hazardous Waste Removal

We recently replaced an aging, contaminated oil storage unit with a bunded 1000-litre plastic oil tank complete with a wireless digital fuel monitor and lockable lid. Installed in the existing tank location, the new unit meets OFTEC regulations and comes with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty

To achieve the required 760mm fire-safety clearance from the property boundary, we removed the adjacent fence. The installation included constructing a steel-reinforced, 100mm-thick concrete base, extending 300mm on all sides to provide structural stability and full compliance with industry standards.

Our team managed the safe removal and disposal of the contaminated oil and redundant tank, using licensed hazardous waste contractors. The tank was cut up, cleaned with oil absorbents, and disposed of through the appropriate waste channels, with all materials tracked via waste transfer notices.

We installed a new fuel pump, HRM non-return valve, and nozzle, and flushed the fuel line to remove residual water particles. All pipework connections were upgraded for security, with a full fuel line tightness test carried out to confirm integrity.

Backed by ongoing servicing support from our engineers, this project delivers a safer, more reliable, and environmentally compliant oil storage solution, all while maintaining our zero landfill commitment.

Boosted Unvented Hot Water System Installation

Our team recently transformed an outdated vented hot water system into a high-performance, boosted unvented hot water solution compliant with PART L building regulations. The project began with the safe removal of loft storage tanks, redundant pipework, shower pumps, and two vented hot water cylinders.

We created a new dedicated plant room to house two unvented cylinders, each fitted with a destratification pump and plate-to-plate heat exchange technology for greater high-temperature water storage and improved efficiency over standard coil-heated designs.

To maintain water quality and extend system life, we installed a whole-house scale reducer, expansion vessel, pressure relief valves, and line strainers. The new setup was integrated with the property’s existing boilers for seamless heating performance.

A DAB and boost pump system was installed alongside the cylinders to ensure strong, consistent water pressure across the property. Heating system modifications included additional Spirovent filters, balancing valves, and a new expansion vessel to accommodate the increased capacity.

Backed by a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty on component and a 25-year anti-perforation coverage, this upgrade delivers reliability, efficiency, and exceptional hot water performance for years to come, all with zero landfill waste from the installation process.

High-Efficiency Boiler Cascade Installation & Heating System Upgrade

Our engineers successfully replaced an outdated heating setup with a three-boiler Viessmann Vitodens cascade system, designed for optimum efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with traditional cast radiators. The new configuration delivers precise zoned heating and hot water control, meeting PART L building regulations while reducing energy waste.

We upgraded the system to a closed heating design, with dual expansion vessels, hydraulic separation to protect the boilers, and full magnetic filtration for long-term performance. Each boiler was installed with independent pumps and valves, ensuring balanced flow rates and protecting the heat exchangers.

Our in-house NICEIC-approved electrical team installed Wi-Fi-enabled programmable thermostats for remote heating control, digital immersion timers, and intelligent boiler cascade wiring to maximise energy efficiency. Gas supply alterations, upscaled pipework, and safety bonding ensured compliance with all regulations.

The installation included a complete flush with inhibiting chemicals, integration of 7 new circulators, and a condensate protection system for frost safety. All work was finished with careful utility room refurbishment, removal of redundant feed tanks, and 100% recycling of installation waste.

Commercial Boiler Installation – Collingham Medical Centre

At Collingham Medical Centre, our commercial GAS SAFE and NICEIC teams replaced two outdated floor-standing boilers with three high-efficiency Viessmann Vitodens boilers. This upgrade delivers precise demand-based modulation, significant gas savings, and improved system longevity.

We installed new hydraulic separation pipework, an 80-litre expansion vessel, and upgraded system zone controls, all Wi-Fi enabled for remote operation via an app. The plant room was fully rewired and re-piped for neatness and performance, and a new independent vertical flue system was fitted to meet modern safety standards.

The sealed heating system now benefits from magnetic filtration, Sentinel X100 dosing, and optimised flow rates via individually pumped boilers. Gas supply alterations, safety interlocking with CO detection, and PART L compliant controls ensure both safety and efficiency.

Our team also integrated seven new circulators, programmable thermostats, and intelligent cascade wiring to prioritise hot water via a single boiler, maximising efficiency and reducing energy use. Condensate protection was added to safeguard operation in freezing conditions.

This project is backed by a 12-year manufacturer’s warranty on the boilers, a 3-year workmanship guarantee, and our commitment to zero landfill waste, with all old plant room equipment and materials responsibly recycled.

Installation of a Viessmann Vitocal 100-A Heat Pump System, London

Our engineers replaced an outdated boiler with a Viessmann Vitodens 100 touchscreen condensing boiler, an ‘A’ rated system designed for maximum efficiency. Installed on a custom frame within the existing plant room, the new boiler was carefully sized and commissioned to match the property’s heating demand, preventing over or underperformance.

A new flexible room-sealed flue liner was fitted through the existing chimney, improving safety and compliance, while the condensing design ensures cleaner operation. The heating system was upgraded to a sealed closed-loop design with a 35-litre expansion vessel, pressure relief valves, and hydraulic separation to protect the boiler’s heat exchanger and optimise flow.

The project also included new pipework, circulators, motorised valves, and the introduction of app-based intelligent controls, allowing full heating and hot water management from a smartphone or tablet. The system was power-flushed and treated with inhibitor, before being fitted with a Magnaclean filter for long-term protection.

The gas supply was modified, a condensate pump installed, and all electrical wiring carried out by our in-house NICEIC team in compliance with PART L regulations.

This installation is backed by a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty, extendable to 12 years, plus our 3-year workmanship guarantee. All waste, including the old flue and redundant feed tank, was responsibly disposed of in line with our zero landfill commitment.

Air Source Heat Pump Installation for Catherine Clarke

Our team recently completed the design, installation, and commissioning of a Warmflow R290 inverter-driven air source heat pump, replacing an older heat pump and hot water cylinder for a residential property.

We upgraded the heating to a closed sealed system with new insulated pipework, a high-efficiency buffer for improved defrost cycles, and mechanical hot water priority control. A HP240UV rapid recovery unvented cylinder with a destratification pump and plate-to-plate heat exchange now ensures an ample store of high-temperature water without additional heating sources.

To protect system longevity, we installed a whole-house scale reducer, dual Magnaclean filters, and carried out a full system flush with anti-freeze, inhibitor, and biocide treatment. All electrical work was completed by our in-house NICEIC-approved team, including intelligent programmable thermostats with app control.

The installation comes with comprehensive warranties alongside our annual servicing plan. All waste from the project was recycled to support zero landfill, reflecting our commitment to sustainability.

The term “East-West” typically refers to the orientation of the solar panels. In this configuration, solar panels are installed facing both east and west directions to capture sunlight throughout the day. This setup maximises energy production by spreading it more evenly from morning to evening.

The hot water module is designed to use surplus solar energy to heat water. This is often achieved through a solar thermal system that captures heat from the sun and transfers it to a water storage tank. It can be used for domestic hot water needs, such as showers, faucets, and heating.
